Emailing thru Access

I have a database that I've been using via my company network for a while now
and I've also been sending emails out automatically when certain events are
triggered within my database. The emails are being sent using the users
outlook email on their desktop. Everything worked fine. Now we have switched
to citrix and now everyone's email (outlook) and the database resides on the
citrix server. Now none of the emails will work anymore. Nothing has changed
in the database. The only change is that outlook now resides on the citrix
server for all the users instead of on their desktops. Does anyone know why
the emails will not work anymore since we're using citrix instead of their
desktops? I hope I've explained this correctly.
