I have a Word file with an embedded power point file. Everybody can actually
open the power point file and see all of its 15 slides. Only one user can
only see one slide. I am assuming it is a setting in Word but I don't know
where to look.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?UU9BVA==?=,
I have a Word file with an embedded power point file. Everybody can actually

only see one slide. I am assuming it is a setting in Word but I don't know
where to look.
No, this wouldn't be a Word setting...

Are you sure that machine is using PowerPoint to open the file?

An embedded object of this type is "OLE". There are multiple things that have to
work together in order to "do" OLE:
- the OLE client - the place where the OLE object is hosted. This would be
Word.
- The OLE Server - the application to which the object belongs. PowerPoint,
in this case
- The Windows Registry. This is where the OLE Server for a specific file
type ("class") is registered.

The OLE client looks in the Registry, starts the OLE Server it finds there for
the file type, and opens the object in the OLE server.

Chances are, the wrong thing is set in the Registry, or PowerPoint isn't
responding correctly when Word calls it.

A "Repair" of the Office installation might solve the problem. Unfortunately,
you don't mention which version of Office is involved, so I can't give you exact
instructions on how best to do this.

I have the same problem and I am using Word 2002 and Power point 2002 at
work. Everyone else can double click that power point object embedded in
Word and see the entire powerpoint presentation. All I see is the first
slide. Is there a setting or something in my powerpoint that needs to be
adjusted?
