Encrypted message poping up in Word

When I open Word (2003) and start to type, I get a window popup with an
encrypted message (looks like Japanese! with some intermittent small squares)
I cannot read this message so I do not know what it is saying. It has an OK
box to check at bottom, nothing else. I usually can click out of it ,(it
usually appears again after I click out,) but after second time I can
continue working in Word, but this comes up every time starting a new Word
document. Everything else seems fine. I do have a medical spell check
installed on my computer. Would this have anything to do with it? I have
tried several things, removing Word and reinstalling, repair in Word, nothing
seems to help. Any ideas? Please help!

My first suspicion would be a virus. Is your antivirus software up to date?
Have you done a complete scan? My second guess would be a rogue add-in.
Presumably, however, your medical dictionary is not in Japanese... is it?
