Entering a weekly task

Is there a way to enter a weekly task in one line item... for example, if
there is a weekly status meeting every Monday for 2 hours over the course of
10 months, how can you ensure the resources time is allocated for those 2
hours each Monday w/o having to enter multiple tasks (i.e. one for each week.)

You enter it as a recurring task, duration of 2 hours, recurring weekly on
Monday starting at whatever time the meeting is held and continuing for 40
weeks.

I'm sorry - but where in the task information screen do I set that... I don't
see the option of setting the task as reoccurring and where I can specify the
day of the week (and time) the meeting takes place. (Do I need to expand the
columns that appear in the Gantt view? If so, what columns?)

Hii,

Indeed, you cannot change a task to be recurring.
You create it through Insert, recurring task.

Is there a way that you can a summary task (one task) that encompasses all of
the recurring work (e.g. create a weekly status report), but allows for the
work effort (e.g. total of 150 hours over the course of 50 weeks) to be
spreadout evening over those weeks, but the work occuring on one day, thereby
saving plan real estate?

Hi,

A recurring task IS a summary task.
"Open" it with the little plus sign then assign teh resources to the detail
tasks and work will be planned as you expect.
