Entering actual hours does not move remaining work beyond Status D

I have Fixed Units tasks (not Effort Driven) and the Options "Move end of
completed parts after status date back to status date" and "Move start of
remaining parts before status date forward to status date" and "Split
in-progress tasks" set. When I update a task status by increasing the "%
Complete" manually, tasks split as expected, pushing the remaining work in a
task to start at the Status Date (or Current Date, if Status Date is not
set). However, if I go into the Task Usage view and enter Actual Hours for
that same task, the "% Complete" updates, but the task DOES NOT split, and
leave remaining work in the past, before the status date. This does not seem
right. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Hello BlaiseR,

No, you're not missing a setting. As you note, incomplete work is
only shifted when you update using % complete or enter actual work in
a non-time phased view (neither Task nor Resource Usage).

If you want to use the timephased view, use the "Reschedule
uncompleted work" command in the Tools > Tracking > Update Project
dialog to shift any incomplete work to the status date.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
