Entourage 12.0.1 IS GOING HAYWIRE - ADDRESS BOOK IS FREAKING OUT!

What the heck is going on with Entourage 12.0.1? All these weird bugs have
just started popping up. My newest one is that Address Book does NOTHING
when I try to call up a contact by typing a name into the "Name Contains"
filter field -- it does not retrieve my contact. Also, now there's a weird
line in the middle of my Address Book list of contacts -- like a break of
white space that is 3 or 4 inches long before the next contact is listed.
There are also a few lines between contacts that weren't there before, and
sometimes when I click on a contact it DISSAPPEARS! What the heck is going
on here?

BTW, nobody from this list has responded to my post on 3/26 and again on
3/30 about Entourage wiping my Mac Address Book and failing to Sync it with
the Entourage Address Book. Did I say something wrong?

System info: 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 20" iMac running OS 10.5.2 with 2 GB
of RAM

Another user reported similar problems with Address Book and solved his
problem this way.

1) Export Address Book using Entourage archive (.rge). Under File -->
Export. Select just contacts.
2) Create a new Identity in Entourage and import the .rge file for testing.
If the problems go away, then...
3) In your regular Identity, select all contacts and delete all.
4) Import your .rge file

Always make a backup before doing a procedure like this.

If this fails in your regular user then you will need to create a new
Identity manually. How to manually move your data:

As to why your original question was not answered...This is public forum.
Everyone here is a peer. There is no guarantee that all questions will get
answered. Currently, I spend hours every day answering questions and rarely
do I see that all questions get answered. Since Mactopia is making money off
users that use their interface when you "shop now", they should provide some
support. IMHO

Personally, I don't use sync so I generally leave those questions to users
that do.
