Entourage Crashing when using Search

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

When using the Search (aka Spotlight) feature in Entourage, about 6 times out of 10 it will crash. Here is an example:

I copy and paste and address in the Search field. It contains the annoying <> markers so when I go to delete them the moment I hit the delete key the program crashes. It has done this since the original version and with 12.1.4 it has not changed.

I have a rather large database and I rebuild it about once a week but there does not seem to be any less crashing after I rebuild so I am not sure that is the issue.

Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks in advance!

If you search through Spotlight (in the FInder), does it list Entoruage
e-mails ??

Hi Corentin,

Yes, I have the Spotlight sync option selected and after a few tests on some random email threads in varying lengths, they do all appear in Spotlight. Hope that helps narrow down the problem.
