Entourage has recently decided that it is not connected to the internet in some locations where I choose to open it. The problem is that I am, in fact connected to the internet when I open Entourage while in those locations. I am able to access websites using my browsers. I can also access using the Mac 'Mail' program. It is just Entourage that can not find the server. I use Airport to connect to the internet. Please help?

Here is the error message that I receive:
"Entourage cannot connect to the server. Verify that your computer is connected to the network."

Entourage isn't telling you that it doesn't think you're connected to
the Internet. It just knows that it can't connect to your SMTP server
and is offering the suggestion that you may need to verify you're
connected to the Internet.

From your description above you're obviously traveling and connecting
to different networks. When Entourage can connect on some networks but
not all then that tells me you may have to use a special port because
you're not connecting from within you ISP's network as you'd do at home.
Possibly your host networks are blocking the ports you're using.

Check with your ISP for information about what ports to use for
traveling. You'll most likely be able to use these while at home too and
will only need to make the change once.

Hope this helps!
