entourage font issue

I am working in Entourage 2008, and am having display issues when I receive
emails from a few people. It jumbles the fonts completely so they are totally
illegible, but when I reply / forward the email, it then displays correctly.
The problem is fixed when I clear my font caches, but I can't do this 10
times a day... I am using FontExplorer X Pro and have checked for conflicts -
it comes up with nothing. The fonts for my widgets also displays illegibly
occasionally.
Thanks so much for your help!

Quit Entourage. Delete these files in Users/[YourUserName]/Library/Caches.
Restart Entourage.

com.microsoft.browserfont.cache
tasmanbrowser.cache

Try disabling font Curlz MT

Use Font Book. You can find it in your Applications folder. Open the
application, scroll down to Curlz MT, then choose Edit>Disable "Curlz MT"
family. Restart your computer to force it to rebuild its font caches, and
see if the problem has gone.

Hope this helps!

One thing you can try to eliminate any problems in your current User's
folder is to create a new User in System Preferences.

Drag a few test messages to the Shared folder so you can access them in the
new User. If they show correctly in the new User then you know the problem
is in your User's folder. Since you are reporting problems with widgets I
suspect your problems are at the system level.

Let us know what you find.

Thanks Diane, found out that a couple of fonts had corrupted, which neither
fontexplorer nor font doctor managed to pick up. Now that they have been
removed, I am hoping to not have any more problems! Thanks so much for all
your suggestions.

Glad things are working again. I once saw a report for a font that was
installed from a game that caused problems in Entourage. Took forever to
track that one down.
