This is a quagmire.

I just started using Entourage 2008. My pop server is Yahoo. I've had no problems sending receiving for the past week on my new computer, then today I sent 12 emails from Entourage, one of which related to an important delivery deadline (today).

All of these emails were apparently Sent, or so Entourage told me.

But none of them got through! Aaargh. It's terrible. Embarassing. Expensive.

Please help me. And it's still doing the same thing. I tried sending emails from Yahoo online, no problem.

I'm receiving mail no problem too. Now I don't know whats going through or not. It's terrifying me.

Thank You!

Did you send them all to the same domain??
I've had that before when the SMTP server I was using (the one from my
ISP) had been blacklisted by the recepient e-mail server.
I had no other solution but to send through another account that was
using its own SMTP.

The e-mails would silently be deleted so for a while too, I had no idea
people were not receiving them.

Do you have access to another account using a different SMTP?

Receiving is a totally different thing and shouldn't be affected.

HI
Thanks for your reply.

The emails were sent to different domains in UK, Ireland, Norway. I also sent emails to myself (yahoo and gmail). None yet received, although one email has been received by a friend.

Its a mystery to me.

It could still be that your ISP is blacklisted on multiple servers.
If everything has been sent through the same SMTP server, that's a
likely explanation.

All the mail has arrived, with different intervening times-

Norway took 4 hours
Ireland 2-4 hours
UK 1 hour
Me 1 hour

Could be a problem with the SMTP or the recipient server :-\
In any case, I'm glad it all eventually got there :)

And now the other thing is that every 10 days or so the Programme starts downloading every single message off the mail server (even though its been downloaded at least twice already?!).

I have set up a rule to instantly trash all of these messages, but it is only a temporary fix.

Can you help on this one????

Typically a corrupted message on the server.
I would use Webmail to go and delete it straight from there.
