Entourage stopped syncing with iCal

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Yesterday, for no apparent reason, Entourage stopped syncing with iCal.

And now, from time to time, I get the following Entourage Sync Services error message (below). I've tried turning sync services off and on again in preferences. What do I need to do? Any clues?

As an update, it seems like my entourage calendar appears and then disappears (before my very eyes!) in iCal without ever loading the actual appointments.

Importing the entourage calendar in iCal still works. Just sync services that appears to be haywire.

Any clues are appreciated.

I am not really surprised unfortunately :-\

Try turning SyncServices off, then a little while later, back on in the
Entourage preferences.

There are way to reset things, but it's always on dangerous grounds so
it's the kind of things I love to stay away from unless I don't have a
choice,

Hi Corentin -

Thanks for the help. I turned sync services off in the Entourage preferences yesterday and just turned them back on now. My entourage calendar icon shows up briefly in iCal (no appt data) and then disappears.

It worked fine (ok, pretty fine) for months. Can't figure out why it just stopped one day.

What's the dangerous way and what is at risk?

thanks!

Hi Corentin -

Hi Noah,
Thanks for the help. I turned sync services off in the Entourage
preferences yesterday and just turned them back on now. My entourage
calendar icon shows up briefly in iCal (no appt data) and then
disappears.

Then it probably is a corruption in the SyncService stores.

Well the problem is that sometimes, when you turn synching back on it
gets confused as to what's newer than what and starts deleting entries.
Make careful backups of everything!!!!!!!!

The first thing to try is:
Turn off synching
launch iSync
In the Devices menu, select "Reset all devices"

It doesn't matter whether you are using any device in iSync. It purges
the SyncService cache in the process.

If you have a Palm or iPhone, it will also be affected in the process,

After that, you can launch Entourage and re-enable SyncServices there.
