Entry of overtime costs

Project Server 2003
Book: Dynamic Scheduling, Chapter 11 p668.

I am trying to enter overtime costs by either Task or Resource Usage
but my numbers won't enter into the worksheet (by single task). I'm
not sure what I am doing wrong and I need some help. I read through
the previous overtime email messages but I think my question is on the
simplistic side and not represented.

I would appreciate some help in trying to figure out what my error is.

Hello Cleo,

I assume you are trying to enter Overtime costs into Project
Professional. All of the overtime cost fields (task, resource, and
assignment) are calculated fields. They *display* the overtime cost
calculated by assigning overtime to resource assignments.

I don't have the book you reference so I can't comment specifically on
what the book says. But help in Project Professional clearly states
that they are calculated fields.
