When I print an envelope word defaults to the outlook
address book which in my case is empty. All of my
addresses are in my outlook contacts. Is there a way to
have word default to my contacts? If not is there a way to
transfer all of my contacts to the outlook address book?

This can happen - especially if you upgrade Outlook - and happened here
recently.

The secret is to go into Outlook Tools > e-Mail accounts > view or change
existing directories > remove the entry Outlook address book. Close Outlook.
Restart then go back and add it again. Next check the properties for the
Contacts folder and put a check in the box under Outlook address list. This
should put the contacts list back in focus. If you have more than oone
contacts list, you will need to perform the last step for each.
