"Error Accessing File" Any help would be appreciated!

I had a presentation saved to a disk. I saved my changes
to that disk and then removed the disk and put in another
computer(on the same network) to open a Microsoft Word
File. After doing that, I had to move back to the computer
I was orginally working at, and open my presentation
again. At that point, the computer read the disk, but an
error message reading "An error occured while accessing
file....Unable to access file." This same message appeared
on all other computers I attempted to open the
presentation on. However, at my home computer, the message
read "File is being modified by Wright State University
(The college where this problem occured first)...would you
like to open the file as read only?" When I clicked yes,
an error message popped up the same as the orginal one! I
am lost on what to do to retrieve this project, but this
project is also vital to me! Any help or suggestions would
be greatly appreciatd!

First,

Copy the file to your hard drive and see if that doesn't take care of the
problem.

Do you mean that you saved the file to a floppy disk? Never save directly
to a floppy disk. Save to the hard drive and then (outside of PowerPoint)
copy the file to the floppy. Also, don't try to open the file from a
floppy. Move the file to the hard disk and then open it from there in
PowerPoint.
