Error message in Publisher '97

Kathy Brotton

I have been able to save my document on my hard drive just
fine, yet when I want to save it to diskette so I can take
it to another location, it won't allow me to save. It
gives me the error message: "Please save to your hard
disk." and talks about my disk being corrupted.

Is this a Publisher problem or a Windows problem? My hard
drive saves files from other programs onto diskettes just
fine.

Help soon, please!

You cannot save to a floppy disk. You must save a Publisher file to the
hard drive and then copy to a floppy disk.

You cannot open a Publisher file from a floppy disk, you must copy it to the
hard drive to work on, and when finished close Publisher and copy the file
back to the floppy.

Your hard drive does not save or copy files to floppies. Your operating
system does that (mainly)
You do not copy to floppies by saving in the originating application. You
locate the file on your hard drive using Windows Explorer, and then
right-click and go to Send to > 3½ Floppy (A)
