Error message when attempting to open Publisher 2000.

Publisher 2000 suddenly stopped responding, produces error message. I have
uninstalled and reinstalled program a few times but new installations give
same results.

It would be helpful to know the error message. The crystal ball doesn't work
real well.
More times than not in Publisher 2000 an error will result when your printer
driver is either corrupt or out of date. Do you have the error in safe mode?

maybe you'll understand it better than I do.
AppName: mspub.exe AppVer: 6.0.1.436 ModName: hpzpm309.dll
ModVer: 2.236.2.0 Offset: 000354b3

I also forgot to mention that I'm using Windows XP. Possibly it doesn't
likr such an old version of Publisher, but it's been working for more than a
couple years.

That indicates an issue with an HP Printer.

Maybe installing an updated driver would help.
