error on personal folder size

I have deleted many e-mails from one of my personal
folder; then I have compacted it. Well, pressing
the "folder size" button it say 81MB, but checking the
corresponding .pst file the dimension is still 1.32GB. I
can't understand. Can you help me? thanks
