error recieving outlook e-mail

O

Outtamymind

I am going crazy trying to figure out what has happened and why I can no
longer receive e-mails from my e-mail server. I have 2 accounts and one is
working fine in and outbound. The other is giving me an error message
outlook is unable to connect to the pop3 e-mail server (for incoming). I
have not changed anything. I checked for suspicious spam and I have added the
account and deleted it at least 20 times. I am currently using office 2003.
My messages are on my web based e-mail program but outlook is unable to get
them. This has worked fine up until 12/30/04. I have verified the incoming
address and was told it was correct also outgoing mail is working fine.
PLEASE PLEASE help I am about to throw my computer out the window. Thanks.

Did you check with your ISP to see if they had a policy change and now
require you to authenticate? Try using the Test Account Settings and report
back the exact message on the error tab.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
