error when closing outlook

If anyone can help....when I close my outlook,
version 2000, I get the following error message:
"Outlook caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL" which
I can not close. The only way for me to get it
off of my screen is to shut down the computer.
This has just happened 2 days ago when before that,
I had no problem in my outlook.
Thanks for any help.
