I purchased a copy of MS OFFICE XP Standard for Students
and Teachers a year ago for my home pc. I've since
purchased a notebook and want to know if it's legal to
install it on my notebook, too. Does anyone know 1) is it
legal and 2) where I can find out if it is legal?

Thanks.

Hi Sue,

You are allowed to legally transfer your license to your new laptop. Office XP for S&T only allows use on one pc, while Office 2003 allows 3, so you may not have it installed on more than one pc.

Read the EULA, that is the document you agreed to.

In an Office App , press F1, go to Contents and scroll to the bottom for
the EULA.

Or in Windows go to Start, Search, Files or Folders, EULA and select the
one in the Office Sub-Directory

Nope - you will require another licence - or purchase STE 2003 which allows
for installation on three systems.
