I want to open an Excel file in 2 or more locations in groove at the same
time. The problem is when I save the files is saves as a copy now I have like
100 copies of the same file or almost the same file. I want to be able to
make changes in 2 locations at the same time and have it save it all back to
the original file. I have been banging my head on my keyboard for 2 days now
trying to figure this out so if anyone could help out that would be great.
Thanks
Mike

Hi,

This functionality is not present in Groove. You can edit one document in
one space and save it to that space. If more thank one person, or account is
editing that document at the same time, then versioning takes place. The
first person to save saves to the original file and second person who saves
has a copy of the original document.

Ok so let me ask this question? What is the solution to this problem? Is
there an easy way to merge the copy's?

Hi,

The only way to merge documents is manually going though each version and
adding them to a master document.

Hi Gregg,
That sounds like a pain. What does the rest of the world do? This sounds
like a common problem. But I can't find any good solution.

Hi Gregg,
I figured it out in Excel 2007, there is a option to share workbook in the
review tab. That allows you to do what I want to do. Thanks for your help.
