excel files will not open

when sending excel files through outlook the receiver
cannot open the file and it goes into recovery mode and
gets corrupted. Security levels of both Outlook and
Excel are at medium, and Ignore Other Programs has been
checked.

Have you already cleared your Outlook save folder?

To locate the folder open regedit and go to
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\{version}\Outlook\Security]
Where {version} stands for your version of Outlook.
