Excel Function

Is there an Excel Function that can provide the last value in a column so
that it could be posted in another worksheet (like a summary page). This may
be simple, but I can't figure out an answer.

=<sheetname>!<cell>

example:
in sheet1,cell A1 you have a value of 100
in sheet2,cell A1, you type in =Sheet1!A1 and returns the value of 100
(contents of A1 cell of sheet1)

What sheet1 column A is a list (growing longer) of numbers and you want to
store the last one in sheet2, or for that matter on the same sheet

let's say the info is in column C. Also every cell above the desired
cell MUST contain something(not blank)
The following does what you want.

=INDEX(C:C,(COUNTA(C:C)),1)
