I enter text into a cell and it appears as ###. None of the help boxes respond when I enter any question with ### in the question.
I know that I can set the limit on text higher but have not found the way. Please help!

I'd first ask how much text are you entering & how are you entering it, but
it really shouldn't make much difference.

Although there are other possibilities, the # is primarily used by Excel to
indicate that the cell is not wide enough to display a formatted *value* -
it has nothing to do with text. There's also nothing you can do to "set the
limit" for the amount of text - the default is what it is, which is 32,767
characters (see Excel Help on the topic "Specifications & Limitations"). If
you apply a Validation Rule it can be restricted to less, as well as other
options, but AFAIK it wouldn't cause the # symbols to appear.

Can you disclose more about the source of the file as well as the nature of
its construction? Is this happening even in a new sheet/workbook? The more
detail you can provide the better.
