If you want to insert the actual spreadsheet, you can go to Insert > Object
Create from file and browse to the Excel file.

If you want to merge the contents of the cells, you can use the Mail Merge
feature in Publisher.

Hello Bill,

I did a little experimenting on Publisher-Excel import/links/paste. The
results were somewhat satisfying, though very preliminary.

First I did a simple copy and paste. That lookied pretty good, but I lost an
underlining on some text formatting in a cell. It seems to create more like a
Word table than an Excel table.

Next I copied and paste-specialed as an Excel Spreadsheet. That worked even
better! And when I double-clicked on the sheet in Publisher I got Excel
behavior, and the toolbar changes to an Excel toolbar once you give the Excel
object focus.

Then I used Paste Special|Link. When you double-click the Excel object it
pops open the target (the Excel File) and you work in Excel. All changes are
reflected in your Publisher doc.

This is one of those areas where MS Office really excels: Seamless
integration throughout the suite. Here on my job I encourage managers and
co-workers to not think of Office as a suite of programs but as one program.
And Microsoft doesn't pay me a cent.

Just some musings from a newbee.
