exchange server not available, Why?

I usually use outlook web access for all my work email needs, but just
recently installed office 2003 professional on my machine. I went through and
added my work email account, put in my network and exchange server info, and
whenever I start outlook it says that the server is either offline or
unavailable. This is definitly not the case because when I close out the
error messages I CAN send a test email to my inbox and check it through web
access. But whenever I click the send/receive button to sync my inbox to my
mahine, it gives me an 'unknown error 0x8004011C' which I am assuming is
still some problem with a connection issue? Anybody got any ideas? PLEASE
HELP ME!!! thanks, Matt

are you inside the network or outside it? what type of account are you
trying to set up? Did you ask your exchange admin if the information is
correct?
