Does anyone know if a standard MS Project report can be exported to Excel so
that it can be reformatted, etc? This is urgent. If anyone can answer this
definitively, I would appreciate it.

Connie,
If your are talking about the built-in reports, no, they cannot be
exported, they are for hard copy only. However, static Project data can
be exported to Excel using the export wizard found under File/Save As.
Select Excel Workbook or Excel Pivot Table as the "File of type". Time
scaled data can be exported to Excel using the "Analyze timescaled data
in Excel" utility/add-in found on the Analysis toolbar.

If you have VBA experience or know someone who does, virtually any type
of report of Project data can be formatted in any way necessary, usually
be exporting to Excel.

The tip on the "Analyze timescaled data in Excel" is really helpful. Is there
a way to pull the resource names out at the same time? I'm looking for a
version of the "Who Does What When" report in Excel.

Thanks.

axw99,
You will get different results using the "analyze timescale data in
Excel" wizard depending on whether you start the export from a task view
or a resource view. You can of course also do multiple exports and then
combine the data once it is in Excel.

The "who does what when" report is essentially the Resource Usage view
in report form. There isn't any simple way to export that data to Excel
without using VBA. You can try a combination of exports as noted above,
or resort to VBA or a query on the Project database using SQL.
