Exporting tabs

Fambrius

Hello.

I want to import into Word the tasks of a Project file.

I have exported the project to a CSV file (using ; and tabs as delimiters),
but it doesn't save the tabs of each task (to show that some tasks are
inside a bigger one).

I have only found a way to export the project "maintaining" the tabs,
exporting to HTML. But later importing it into Word isn't very clean.

Do anyone know how can I export the project tasks tabbed?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Fambrius,

I assume you are referring to the task outlining (summary and subtask)
of the list in the project file when you refer to the "tabs". Fellow
MVP, Jack Dahlgren has a macro called "Export Hierarchy to Excel" which
exports the data to Project maintaining the outline. If keeping the
list as an Excel file doesn't work, you could copy and paste to Word.
The Excel list should come into Word as a table.

For Jack's macro see:

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
