Extending a task

I've tested the 2007 and still am unable to extend a task and show the
extension. Currently to clearly show a task that has been extended, I must
add an additional task below the current task. Other software will show a
hatched taskbar for time that has been extended beyond the original end date.
This is neither difficult or new. It has been requested since the inception
of project and is a needed item.

It's not exactly what you want, but the Tracking Gantt will show 2 bars for
each task, the lower one the original baseline value, the upper one the
current value. Of course, you must baseline the project for this to work
(Tools, Baseline, Save Baseline).

Hope this helps in your world.
