External Predecessors/Successors

I am trying to open an Msproject file from asp.net using msproject interop,
the file contains External Predecessors/Successors.
I don't want msproject to show a dialog box regarding info on External
Predecessors/Successors but automatically incorporate them.

Also can we check before opening file if the mpp file has
External Predecessors/Successors through VBA

You can not use VBA unless the file is open, so you can not check before
opening. I believe that you CAN read some of the document properties without
opening the file so if you had some code to write the doc properties when
external links are in the file (on a before close event) then you may be
able to screen the files. I'd have to look up how to read the document
properties though. I has been years since I did that and I may be mistaken
about it.

Generally External Predecessors/Successors are not a good scheduling
practice. I always advise against them. Those sorts of dependencies are
important enough that they should be managed by people who exercise
judgement. Automatically accepting them is going to cause problems in most
cases.

Thanks Jack

Is it possible to know if the file contains external predecessors before
opening the file itself ?
Thanks a lot for your help.
