Fickle Outlook 2000

I have "Empty Deleted Items Upon Exiting" turned on.
Usually it works. Now it doesn't and I have to empty the
spam manually.

Any ideas how to fix this function would be appreciated.

Are you clicking File | Exit & Logoff?
If Outlook isn't closing down totally, it's often due to an addin such as
handheld sync s/w or fax software keeping outlook.exe running in the
background.

Thank you for the suggestion. I do have a portable PC
hooked up so I will check that. Thanks. Ian
