On our network we have 2 versions of MS Office. We have Office 2003 and
2000. It appears when a file has been modified in Excel or Word 2003, the
computer with Excel/Word 2000 automatically opens a "Read Only" version of
the document and is not able to save any changes without changing the name.
Any suggestions since upgrading the software is not an option at this time.
I've also tried to save the document down to Excel/Word 2000, but it's still
a "read only" file.
