file locations when 'saving as'

A

Andy

Scenario:
You have opened a word file from an email attachment, and you want to save
it. You press File, save as, and are presented with the temp directory from
where the file has been opened.

Question:
Is there any way to make word give you your default file location here
instead???

Thanks,

Andy.

No. Word always opens the save window at the place the document was opened.
Use favorites or the places bar
http://www.gmayor.com/customize_the_word_places_bar.htm to give you a one
click move to the required folder.

Note that given the rash of viruses out there, opening Word documents from
e-mail directly is a reckless thing to do. Save the document, virus check
it, then open it.
