We're running Windows XP Professional on the workstations
and I'm trying to use the "Profile Wizard" which comes
with "Office XP Resources kit" to capture the File
Locations settings for Workgroup templates and the
Startup folder (in MS Word) in an OSP file which I then
run from the login script for each user to overwrite
their existing Office Settings with the correct settings.
The problem is that the File Locations settings are not
being changed in the target workstation while other MS
Word settings, such as custom Toolbars and buttons are
being copied.
Am I wrong in assuming File Locations settings can't be
captured by the profile wizard? If they can, can anyone
suggest what I might do to make this happen? So far my
method is to set the correct File Locations settings from
inside Tools | Options, run the profile wizard to capture
the profile, then run the profile wizard with the new
settings from the login script of each machine.
Thanks a lot for any help with this.
