File Save mistake

I clicked File, Save instead of File, Save As and now have
the modified document instead of my orginal. Any way to
reinstate the original? Tempted to try System Restore but
not sure if it will restore Word files. Any ideas?

Undo will reset it, provided the document is still open following the save,
otherwise it is gone. System restore does not restore data files such as
Word documents.

No backup? You should set the option to automatically create a backup and
avoid such disasters in future.
