My wife is trying to put together a document. It is huge. Four pages over
500mb. It has lots of pictures (nursery school annual). I did a test. I
took one of her pictues (jpg file of about 80kb). If I use Powerpoint, and
do an insert file of that single picture and save the file it is about
117kb. If I do the same thing but a cut and paste of the same image from
photo editor into powerpoint and then save the file, it is about 2 mb.
However, if I do the same thing into publisher then the file is 5.5mb. As
you can see there is a huge difference. I got a copy of publisher 2003 and
the 500mb file shrinks to 144mb. The problem is that is is still way too
large. Her final product is a 20 page document. Is there a way to save
those images much more efficiently?
