file unavailable

I just upgraded to Office Pro 2003 from Office 2000. Now when I try open an old file from 2000, Word states that the file is unavailable. When I try to open a Excel file, it tells me my virus program will not let it open....even after I shut it down. Any ideas?

If you are running Norton Antivirus, try disabling the Office Plugin by
right-clicking on the Norton icon in the task tray | Configure Norton
Antivirus | Miscellaneous | uncheck the Office Plugin box. Does this
fix the problem?
