FILES ON A FLOPPY CANNOT BE VIEWED MISSING SHORTCUT?

Help I'm trying to view a file that i saved on a floppy disc , but will not
allow me it keeps saying that shortcut is missing. I am using two diffrent
computers but both have the same applications.
