Filtering more than one resource assigned to the same task

I have managed to filter many of the resources on MS Project 2003 by going
onto Project>customise filter and filling out the little table with resource
name, value OR resource name, value etc etc...

I have a task that is assigned to more than one resource and because of
this, it is not filtering this task with the two resources assigned to it.

Question:
How can I filter more than one resource assigned to the same task?

Thank youx

WSH,
It depends on how you set up the filter. Let's say you have two
resources, Joe and Tom assigned to a task. The following filter will
show the task when either name is entered at the filter prompt (Note,
this filter must be applied to a task view, e.g. Gantt Chart):

Field Name Text Value
Resource Names Contains "Enter resource name"?

Note that you will NOT be able to use a simple filter to pull out just
Joe or Tom's assigned hours for the task. You can get that type of
information though by using a similar filter on the Resource Usage view
or by using VBA.

Hope this helps.

I have assigned one task with two resources for example:

Test task 1 - John Smith, Tom Lo

When I apply a filter (gantt view):
Field Name Text Value
Resource Names Contains "Enter resource name"?

It only shows John Smith with the task. It doesn't show Tom Lo. How do you
get to show both resources with the same task?
Thanks

John,

Hello again, Ignore my last post. It did work with what you suggested before.

Thank you

WSH,
You're welcome. It's a good thing I'm in a different time zone. This way
you solved it yourself and all I had to do was hear about the result.
