finishing dato on remaining work

I have entered 1 day in remain work but the system tells me that the task was
finish yesterday, I'll expect Project to move the finishing date and workload
to fit that new infomation. Is there another way?

You will have to tell Project about your wishes.
Tools, Tracking, Update Project, Reschedule uncompleted work...
