Fix for Office Maintenance Mode

Have Office 2000 (came on new Dell) running XP Pro. I want to use "power
Point". Tried to get it off the dicks but it starts in Maintenance Mode and
does not allow me to install Power Point (not even listed).

How do I get it to allow me to install Power Point?

If it's a new Dell, you couldn't have received Office 2000. Office does not
"come with" Win xp. You must order Office and pay extra for it. And what
suite of Office? Not all Office sets have PP. Try this--Go to Add/remove
programs, pick MS Office and try to install PowerPoint from there. Have your
MS Office disk in the cd drive.
