flickering insertion point

Lately it seems as if the insertion point flickers slightly when I type. At
times, it doesn't keep up with my typing (I presume that's a function of
system resources?).

Any idea why the insertion line flickers?

could be a problem with the graphics card driver. You might try checking the
manufacturer's website for an updated driver.

If that doesn't help, a more appropriate group for this question would be
word.setup.networking, perhaps.
