I can easily put underline for any letters or paragraphs, but I have problem adding upper line for words or letters in paragraphs. Does anyone know how to do that?

Your best bet is to use the OS X Character Palette and a font that includes
the characters you need. You can add them as AutoCorrect entries if you need
to use them on a repetitive basis. Excellent info from Clive Huggan here:

For more info, see pages 58 and 84 of some notes on the way I use Word for
the Mac, titled "Bend Word to Your Will", which are available as a free
download from the Word MVPs' website
