Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel How do I install a specialty font such as Old English or Westminister into Word for Mac 2008?

You don't need to. what you need to do is ...

Install the font by using Fontbook in your user fonts. Then once
installed go to:

username/Preferences/Microsoft/Microsoft2008 and look for Office Font
Cache(12)

with all office applications quit, remove the file throw in trash and empty.

Next open Word and the cache will be rebuilt. Then your font will show
up on the list.

for word 2004 look at
username/Preferences/Microsoft/Office Font Cache(11)

Do the same as above. Although they are supposed to show up the first
time after you install a font. I find often it doesn't and if you remove
fonts it often doesn't delete fonts listed that have been removed.
