Font list drop down display

I'm a font freak. I scroll through hundreds, maybe thousands, of fonts when
I create publications. It seemed in the earlier versions of Publisher that
if I selected my text and chose, say, comic sans, and didn't like it so I
went back to the font drop down menu and the menu continued from the Comic
Sans font down. With 2003 and the trial version of 2007 I may look at a "K"
font and if I want to change it, the menu pops back up to the "A" fonts and I
have to scroll through all of them again to go past the font I just tried.
Make any sense?

This isn't a problem in Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10.

It's annoying isn't it?
And if you close Pub and come back your fonts list doesn't remember what
you've used in the publication...annoying as well.

If you find a solution lemme know.

What I would suggest is using a macro in Word that will produce a document
with a sample of all of your fonts. I have 1517 fonts so my document is over
100 pages long. I open that document to see my fonts and leave it open until
I find what I'm looking for. Because I install new fonts occasionally, I run
the macro a couple of times a year to stay somewhat current or delete
similar fonts.

It still doesn't help when you're designing as you need to see the fonts on
your page to see if they're visually pleasing with the text/graphics you are
using.
