What is the ideal font size for presentations. I've been using 24, my boss saya 28 but this seems far too big!!

The correct font size depends on the presentation and personal preference.
If your *boss* saya (says) he likes 28 then 28 is probably the one you want
to use.

Hi George,

there are two rules of thumb for a rough estimate:

- Print your slide on normal letter sized paper and stick it to a wall. Make
three steps backwards (3 yards = 2.5 meter). If you can read it, it will be
o.k. for most screen projections.

- If it's for a presentation in a large room, project it on the screen in
that room. Measure font height. You need a font height of 1 inch (= 2.5 cm)
per each 6 feet (= 2 meter) distance between screen and last row of seats.

Depends on the room, the projector, the audience, the slides, all kinds of
stuff. 28 pt is actually pretty small for many of the presentations I work
on.
