footer hidden by graphic -- help!

Guest

I have a large page-border graphic that is behind the
text in my Word document. Everything's fine, except that
the footer text is hidden by the graphic, even though
I've selected SEND TO BACK and SEND BEHIND TEXT.

How do I get the footer to display above the graphic?

(As I said, it's a full-page graphic, so it can't be
placed in the header or footer.)

Thank you!!

You CAN place a full-page graphic in a header/footer. Just right-click it,
and choose format picture, then under wrapping, tell it you want it Behind
text. Then center it on the page. I like to do that in whole page view. Do
not change your margins to accomodate it either; you shouldn't need to.

Hope this helps!

As Anne says, a full page graphic can appear in header or footer - a header
or footer can be anywhere on the page. Headers/footers are merely a parts of
the document that appear on a range of pages. However, the presence of a
graphic in the header will not ensure that it sits behind the text. The
'behind text' option does not always hold - especially in Word 2000 for some
reason. Try re-applying it.

If you can select the graphic without using the white arrow tool on the
drawing toolbar, the graphic is not behind the text.

If that doesn't fix it, ensure that your printer is configured to print True
Type fonts as graphics.
