Footnote Seperator

I need to make the footnote seperator line a triple line. I was told to use
the borders and shading. When I choose borders and shading the line extends
across the entire page. I just want to be able to create a footnote
seperator line.

In Normal View, Select View > Footnotes.

In the Dropdown in Footnotes Pane, select "Footnote Separator"

Edit it to your heart's content.

Apply a right indent to the Footnote Separator paragraph that is sufficient
to reduce the separator line to the length you want.

Tony..thanks for replying but unfortunately the line spans the entire length
of the page.
