form: creating bottomline-only text box, up/right/left border

I'm trying to create a text box, to submit names and such. I go into the form properties, adjusting the border to have only the bottomline border show up. When I click okay and go to look at it in preview, there is the ridged/default border around it still, including the bottomline in the color I chose. Does anyone know how to make the default border go away? Thanks!

<input type="text" name="T1" size="20" style="BORDER-

BORDER-LEFT: 0px solid #000000; WIDTH: 70pt; BORDER-
BOTTOM: 1px solid #000000
