Hello,

This is my first time posting here and I was hoping that
someone may have come across the problem I am now
experiencing.

I am currently using exchange 2000 and outlook 200
clients. The exchange installs were straight installs,
meaning we went with the defaults and have made no
changes to the exchange servers themselves. The same
goes for the outlook installs. When a user sends a new
message or responds to a message and uses a font color
other than black, the color is changed to black upon
being sent. Meaning it may be blue text when the user
sends but by the time it's in the sent items folder it is
black text. The recipient sees only black text as well.

I am also seeing similar behavior when someone sends a
mail message with a table in the body of the text. The
table is there when the user composes the message but as
soon as it is sent it basically becomes randomly arranged
text.

At this point I have tried everything I can think of. I
have tried sending messages using word as the editor, not
as the editor, sending as rich text, plain text, and
HTML. None of that has made a difference. I have also
done a comparison of outlook settings on two different
domains and the settings are identical. This leads me to
believe that this is taking place on the server, but
where? I have searched TechNet extensively with no
luck. I also took the MS exchange 2000 course, where
unfortunately they wanted to teach more about the instant
messaging features of exchange than the actual mail
features of exchange.

I would really appreciate any help or advice someone
could offer.

Josh
